When giving a patient coMra therapy, how regularly should you be treating them? A laser therapy expert weighs in.
Integrative doctor and laser therapy pioneer Dr Bernard Brom recalls that when he ran a practice in a remote location, he would treat some patients only once a week. Dr Brom explains that, unless you are treating a serious acute condition, daily coMra use is not necessary. coMra triggers processes of repair and regeneration in the body that will lead it to its own state of healing.

“You don’t need to keep pumping energy into the body… you don’t need to ‘fill up all the holes’. Remember, the laser is activating processes – activating mitochondria, activating regeneration. The body takes hold of it, and the body is doing the work.” Says Dr Brom. “Once you’ve stimulated the body… let the body work for a day or two. You don’t have to go every single day, or twice a day. The only time I use the laser more regularly would be in an acute condition. Once you’ve activated the process, the body starts to do the work.”
There are no ‘one-size-fits-all’ guidelines for administering coMra therapy. Each patient is different and will respond differently, so it’s recommended that you let your patient’s response to the therapy guide you.
The coMra 905nm laser is specifically designed for professional use, and yields powerful healing results even when used less frequently.
Important to remember: coMra is a powerful modality. The uses described in our articles are those recommended by the coMra User Guide and apply mainly to home users and use in hospitals. Experience over many years has shown that in the case of most chronic conditions, treatments can also be spread out to once or twice per week, without taking the breaks outlined in the guide.
